DAYS 1 AND 2: MALAGA - ALPUJARRA

Arrival at the airport of Malaga and collection of the rental car in the corresponding office. Then drive to the Alpujarra [Mountain area of Granada], where you’ll enjoy one night in a 3*/4* rural hotel with breakfast included.

• Estimated Km: 130 Km.
• Interesting on the drive: there are many charming coastal villages and you may stop to rest and recharge forces near the sea. We highlight Nerja where you may visit its famous caves.

Places of interest:

• Lanjaron: the richness of this village is its mineral waters, known in all Spain.
• Poqueira Gully: one of the most beautiful corners of Spain, you can find:
• Pampaneria: it is known for its architecture, which preserves the white houses of flat roofs with cap chimneys.
• Bubion: it is the village that better preserves the spirit of yesteryear, with its rustic houses and fountains.
• Capileria: you can enjoy spectacular views; this town center preserves the typical architecture of the Alpujarra.
• Trevelez: it is the highest village in Spain and holds a great landscape wealth, but is also known for its exquisite cured ham, we highly recommend visiting the ham dryers.
• Enjoy the charm of these villages and nature.

*In any of these villages we highly recommend to taste the zone’s typical gastronomy.

DAYS 3 AND 4: ALPUJARRA - CABO DE GATA

In the morning breakfast in the hotel and depart to the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Nijar, where you’ll spend two nights in a 3*/4* hotel near the sea with breakfast included.

• Estimated Km: 170 Km.
• Interesting on the drive: the most interesting on the way is to appreciate the nature of a unique place such as the mountain range named Sierra Nevada. There are numerous villages with charm where you can stop to rest and to recharge forces.

Places of interest:

• Playa de los Genoveses [Beach name].
• Playa de Monsul [Beach name].
• El playazo [Beach name].
• Playa Las Negras [Beach name].
• Arrecife de las Sirenas [Sirens’ reef].
• Mirador de la Amatista [Amethyst Viewpoint].
• Coastal villages: (San José, Los Escullos, La Isleta del Moro, Las Negras, Agua
• Amarga) they’re small villages, fishing towns, with white houses, quiet and with good beaches.

*Cabo de Gata is a good place to enjoy a marvelous landscape, to rest in its magnificent beaches or to profit from the great variety of active tourism that you may find.

DAYS 5 AND 6: CABO DE GATA - GUADIX

After breakfast in the hotel, your stay in Cabo de Gata is over and you’ll drive to Guadix (Granada), accommodation in an authentic CAVE-HOUSE.

• Estimated Km: 120 Km.
• Interesting on the drive: on the way you may find the Natural Spot of the Desert of Tabernas, a place to appreciate the unique desert zone of the whole European continent. We highly recommend stopping and enjoying the wonderful views.

Places of interest:

• Visit the historic center of Guadix.
• Visit the Cave-House: there is an interpretation center, in which you start a trip to its origins, its evolution in history, how they lived, how they live now and their traditions.
• Enjoy nature and landscapes.
• Natural Park of the mountain range of Baza.
• Desert of Gorafe.
• Dolmens of Gorafe.

Activities: all type of mountain activities.

• Hiking.
• 4WD routes (perfect to take pictures of amazing landscapes).
• Climbing.
• Mountain bike.
• Enjoy the dark skies: perfect for stars sighting since this enclave has become a privileged place for the development of astronomy.

DAY 7: GUADIX - GRANADA

After enjoying the breakfast in the hotel, the following stop is Granada. Accommodation in a 3*/4* city hotel with breakfast included.

• Estimated Km: 50 Km.

Places of interest:

• Visit the city: Alhambra, historic center and Albayzin
• Science Park: it is an interactive museum, first of its kind in the South of Spain.
• Sierra Nevada: during the snow season (November to April), you can enjoy all the snow-related sports.

DAY 8: GRANADA - MALAGA

After breakfast in the hotel, drive to the Airport of Malaga to terminate this wonderful trip.

• Estimated Km: 130 Km.
• Interesting on the drive: Antequera, which holds unique attractions such as its famous dolmens and the named Torcal of Antequera.
