The experience

Discover with us the lost art of Nazari ceramics, learn the importance of the mathematical knowledge of ancient Muslims that applied to geometry create mosaics and wonderful forms, many are found in the Alhambra

We take you to a cultural experience without equal, the workshop of a family of craftsmen who for years traveled, studied and rescued the essence of all the craftsmanship in the elaboration ornamentation and decoration of the Califal, Andalusí and Nazarí ceramics

This group of artisans set out on the road to rescue the pottery tradition of Al-Andalus. After several years, the ceramic pieces and the decoration have been perfected until reaching their own style and very recognized, always maintaining the basic structure and the decorative harmony of the Andalusian ceramics. The workshop is located in Atarfe, Granada.

We will learn the knowledge in mathematics and geometry as part of our Muslim legacy and its application to this decorative art and its mosaics so present in Nazari architecture.

These classes of beginner and intermediate ceramics will give step-by-step instructions on the use of ceramics and ceramics, developing and implementing patterns, carving ceramic designs, glazing stages and final product. All detailed techniques will be explained and demonstrated.

We will work with Nasrid's famous Nasrid designs, inspired by the motifs found in the world famous Palace of the Alhambra, where these designs are prominent. The memory of Granada and its vast Islamic heritage and artistic tradition will remain with you long after you leave the city.
