Located in Alcudia de Guadix, Trópolis in the Geopark is a unique viewpoint to the Sierra Nevada and the Guadix Region, starting point of the routes and trails of the peri-urban park of the Zalabí Valley,

The Bread , which since the Neolithic, has been an essential food for a multitude of civilizations, is in Trópolis where we will discover the essence of how to obtain the best results. The bread of this region contains some secrets that our master baker will discover you throughout the activity

In the Pan Workshop, you can manipulate and make our bread from the beginning of the process, knowing and mixing with our hands the raw materials, wheat flour, yeast, salt, and the main element, which makes the bread of this region so Appreciated: The Water of Sierra Nevada. Each participant in the workshop can take home the bread that has been kneaded, once finished baking, in our wood oven.

Objective of the workshop: to learn, to contribute and to elaborate the bread recipe, and where to obtain the raw material and necessary materials to be able to repeat it at home.

It is an activity that tries to bring one of the everyday elements in our gastronomy into its essence. Perfect for families, groups of friends and as or any person or couple who wants to have fun, learn and enjoy an authentic local experience.

Safe Measures before Covid-19 taken for this visit

• Reception in the Trópolis audiovisual room, keeping a safe distance between the participants in the activity, explaining the development of the dynamics to follow. Delivery of apron and hat, hand washing, and occupation of our position at the work table. Mixing of ingredients, kneading, fermentation, molding, branding, and marking of the piece, second fermentation, cooking and delivery of the bread. (All the development of the recipe will be directed by a person from Trópolis).
• Travelers are required to wear personal masks and maintain social distance during the experience: Distance of 2 meters between people if they are individual, also 2 meters between groups of families
• Monitors will wear face masks at all times.
• Protocols for frequent cleaning or disinfection of the visited places: Disinfection of the workplace, table, containers for elaboration, services.
• Use of hydroalcoholic gel in all accesses to the center
• Ingredients are delivered individually, clean containers. The handling and subsequent delivery of the prepared bread is carried out by the staff of Trópolis.
